Let me fill you in on a bit of a secret. I am a bit of a make up junkie! I love the vibrant variety of colors that are shimmery and glossy glamorized array of products. Ever since I was a little girl I have always experiment with my Mom and Grandma’s vanity products and mixed and matched what I thought looked good. Now as an adult I have to give in to my passion and obsession and I’m always looking to try the next big thing!
For those of you who this topic is somewhat foreign, let me queue you in to what Urban Decay is and what I’m talking about.
Urban Decay is a make up brand found in most mall department stores like Nordstrom, Macy’s, ULTA, and Sephora. Urban Decay considers themselves “beauty with an edge”. Their products are popular in the younger vibrant crowd, with bright and highly pigmented colors and products.
Their most popular cosmetic item is their “Book of Shadows”. The Urban Decay Book of Shadows is a “mini book” with a collection of their top/most popular eye shadows. The Book of Shadows is a great purchase value because you get a little sample of everything! The book includes 9-12 (depending on the book) of 0.03oz product colors.
I have the Urban Decay book of shadows. Seen here: Sephora.com
I believe there are 3 or 4 book of shadows by Urban Decay? Not really sure. Each book pretty much have the same colors but they change the names and theme of the eye shadows and some may be a little more sparkly or shimmery in another book.
Urban Decay’s *NEWEST* book of shadows launch is inspired by the *NEW* Tim Burton movie Alice and Wonderland; released this spring March 5th 2010. The palette has fun vibrant colors each named after an inspiration in the movie! This is super cute and fun!
The picture below is the Alice and Wonderland Book of Shadows by Urban Decay.
