NARS Cosmetics just released a *NEW* lip product to the line a hydrating lip gloss in the form of a pencil, a new mix of the perfect color with added gloss in one application.
The applicator pencil is everything we love about a jumbo-size crayon design with the added finish of a high color gloss.

This lightweight formula that is enriched with Vitamin E to moisturize and leave a silky smooth feel that is not sticky or tacky. The glosses pack full color that is unscented and unflavored that feels light and smooth on the lips with a glossy sheen. Unlike other glosses that are in the form of a tube with an applicator, this crayon has a pointed tip that encourages lip lining and precise control of added color.
Application: When applying NARS Velvet Lip Gloss use a VERY light touch, when I first applied the gloss I acidently broke off the tip because the product is so soft!
Formula: Has plenty of pigment and gives as much coverage as a sheer lipstick with added shine. Compared to NARS original gloss tubes, this isn’t as high shine.
Overall Thoughts:
Not really a good “bang for your buck” considering there is only .09oz of product per pencil. A regular NARS Lip Gloss is .28oz for the same price of $24. The Velvet Lip Gloss Pencils are more unique because they are in the convenience of a pencil and are compact enough to slip in a smaller purse/bag. The pencil tip is awesome for lining the lips and giving the lips a more defined shape, when a regular gloss with an applicator cannot deliver.
I loved how these were NOT sticky or tacky like some glosses can be, they left a smooth buttery feel on the lips. Definitely higher quality than other lip pencils on the market and lasted four to five hours.
