Here is a “haul” that I stocked up on fall and witner scents to keep my house smelling yummy through the rainy cold seasons! I also got a few light spring scnets that will be nice next Spring.

My Mom has always decorated our home growing up in a spooktakular way with fall colors and the whimsical spirit of Halloween.

This weekend I went to IKEA on the hunt for a more presentable storage unit and any thing else I could find to help organized me items. Keep reading to see what I purchased!

inside the drawer… items I reach for everyday

Before the other two pieces I had plastic tridrawers from Target that look like this…

They worked great but I was running out of room and it became more and more cluttered and less put together.

My Mom just came back form Louisiana for the 2011 Mardi Gras Celebration! She knows how much I live in flip flops all year round (yes even in Winter) and scored this Beehive Flip Flop Holder! Super cute and just my style to store my flip flops at hands reach in my closet. This will also help keep them out of reach of Mr.Finley from getting to them, which I am very low on flip flops this season since Finley has been in our house.

This holder fits easily in your closet or on the back of a door with it’s coat hanger type hook at the top. It can hold up to 7 pairs of flip flops! There are many designs to choose from, they are almost out of stock on their website but I did frind some on Amazon too.

Here is mine already putting it to good use…

Today it was 55 degrees in Portland and sunny enough to where I had to pull out my shades! I hope we get more sun so I get more chances to wear my sunglasses and flip flops.

What if my bulb goes out? Replacement bulbs are $1 each form the Scentsy Catalog

Check out this Mr.Potato Head Pumpkin Push-In Kit

Just like the known plastic toy Mr.Potato head we all know, these pieces are made a little larger and stronger to push into your pumpkin for a spooky friendly decoration.

AVAILABLE IN: Pirate, Witch, Princess, Clown,Ninja, Skeleton

Surprisingly it is made out of paper towels! Yep 2 ply paper towels, distressed inks, and a few added textures.

There are my favorite fall colors Yellows,Reds,Oranges, and Warm Browns.

A set of seashell wind chimes is a great reminder of a summer vacation at the shore. Kids and adults love to collect shells, and here’s something creative to do with them!

Supplies Needed:
Whole Seashells (get more than you think you’ll need, because a few may break)
Clear plastic thread (fishing line)
A Phillips-head screwdriver or any tool with a point
Scissors
Sharpie
Something to hang your shells from, like a curved branch or a short wooden dowel

Directions:
1. PREPARE THE SHELL: Wash them! Clean out the sand, the bits of seaweed, whatever debris is stuck to the shell.
2. MAKE THE HOLES: Pick the spot you want the hole to be. You will need one hole at the top of the shell and one hole at the bottom. — mark it with a pen or marker if you need to. Using a twisting motion, bore a hole in the shell. Some shells are thicker than others; don’t use too much pressure or the shell can shatter.
3. STRING THE SHELLS: Measure out the string at desired length. Using plastic thread, thread shells by threading through both holes on each shell and tieing off securely before going on to the next shell. Leave enough string at the top to make a big loop that will be the “hook” to hang on the branch/dowel.
4. HANG THE SHELLS: Using loop on top of the sting of hanging shells, loop around branch/dowel.

Optional: Decorate Shells with stickers, markers, photos, colored sand, glitters, etc..
