Today was the 31st annual Shamrock Run downtown at Waterfront Park in Portland Oregon! Runners choose between a 5k, 8k or 10k run/walk in honor of the upcoming holiday St.Patrick’s Day. A portion of the  proceeds help support Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation. To learn more about Doernbecher Children’s Hospital click HERE. Prior to the adult run, there is a 1k Leprachaun Lap for children 12 and under so this was  a family affair to get moving, motivated, and running all in support for Doernbecher! With each entry, the participants are given a long sleeve “Shamrock Run” t-shirt sponsored by Adidas. At the end of the race participants are given awards, free beverages and hot clam chowder!
