Below is a list of festivals and events that are happening July 4th 2009 in the Portland Oregon Metro area. As you can see the Ft.Vancouver Fireworks Spectacular Show in Vancouver Washington (known for the biggest fireworks display in the West) has been sadly CANCELED this year! Comcast their biggest sponsor has dropped, we are hoping that next year they will return!

Portland 4th of July Happenings news


Portland Blues Festival and Fireworks Display:
Tom Mcall Waterfron Park. Suggested donation of $10 or more (or 2 cans of non-perishable foods) Fireworks start at 10:05 pm

Watch fireworks at Oaks Park: Annual 4th of July Celebration. Gates open at 10 am, rides start at noon. All picnic spaces are first come first serve. Gate fee is $4.00 for 16 and over, $2.50 for 15 and younger. Ride bracelets valid all day… stay and play from noon to midnight! Live entertainment on the Comcast Stage throughout the day. Fireworks begin at 9:55 pm.

PGE Park: Portland Beavers vs Colorado Springs Sky Sox Independence Day Celebration @PGE park:The first 1903 fans will receive a Patriotic Hat presented by PGE. Game begins at 7:05, Admission $8-$15, Fireworks at the end of the game

Vampire Baseball with cast of Twilight @ PGE park: Vampire Baseball™ played by cast and crew of the Twilight movies. July 4th evening of Portland Beavers’ professional baseball and fireworks. Actors scheduled to appear: Rachelle Lefevre, Peter Facinelli, Edi Gathegi, Michael Welch, Solomon Trimble, Christian Serratos, Ayanna Berkshire, Catherine Grimme, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon (more info)

Salty’s on the Columbia BBQ Buffet: The special BBQ buffet on Saturday, July 4th from 12pm to 5pm. Cost for the buffet is $26.95 per person. All guests will receive complimentary sparklers to light and enjoy on the decks. For those wishing to take the BBQ home, items will be offered for $8.95 per pound.

Tigard High School Fireworks Display (9000 SW Durham Road)  Parade begins on Millen Drive at 4 p.m., Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m., Free admission

Salem Fireworks Show: Riverfront Park (downtown Salem) Fireworks at dusk

St.Paul Rodeo: $4 for 16 years and older $2.50 for 15 and younger, Gates open at 10 a.m. first come first serve to picnic area (rides open at noon) Fireworks begin at 9:55 p.m.

Rockaway Beach: Festival downtown starts at 9 a.m. Free admission, Parking limited, Fireworks start at dusk

Seaside Beach: Free admission, Fireworks at dusk on the beach
