Well a friend of mine Robin turned her Post Christmas tree into a Valentine tree! Some may say its to early to hop on to the next holiday (Valentine’s Day) but instead of the extra work of hauling the greenery out of the living room, keep it around for another month or so and turn it into a “V-Day” lovers tree!

Here is a picture of Robin’s tree below along with a few other Valentine trees I found around online!

Supplies/Ingredients Needed for Jars:

• Bunny shaped graham Crackers (Annie’s: Bunny Honey Grahams)
• Bunny shaped marshmallow Peeps
• M&Ms plain candies (Easter Mix)
• Bunny shaped mini-marshmallows (Jet Puffed Easter Mix)
• Brown Sugar
• Mason Jar

Per Jar: 1 1/2 cups (one sleeve) crushed graham crackers or bunny grahams 1 1/2 cups marshmallows (I used bunny marshmallows or 8 Peeps)
1 1/2 cups Easter M&M’s 1/3 cup brown sugar

Supplies Needed to Decorate Jar:

• Decorative scrapbook paper
• Ribbon
• Scissors
• Hole punch

Jar Assembly Directions:

1. Cut decorative paper into shape of an Easter egg. Write baking directions on the tag (SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW)

2. Hole punch the tag with written directions. Loop ribbon.

3. Layer ingredients in the jar. Small ingredients first. ( M&M’s, Bunny grahams, Marshmallows, Peeps.)

4. Add a decorative lid and secure directions

*Attach a tag with the following directions:

1. Empty the jar contents into a bowl.

2. Combine 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour over the cracker crumbs and mix well.

3. Pat crumb mixture into a greased 9″ square pan.

4. Layer the M&M’s and then the marshmallows on top of that.

5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars

Last week the Kindergarten class took home one large sheet of card stock paper and were assigned to paste/showcase 100 “things”. It was really cute to see what the kids came up with, some glued on cheerios, paper clips, foam shapes, raisins, and other random household items laying around.

1. Jump rope 100 times.

2. Build the tallest house of cards you can using 100 cards.

3. Flip a coin 100 times. Make a graph showing the number of heads and tails.

4. Roll a pair of dice 100 times. Create a chart showing how many times each number came up. Make a graph based on the chart.

5. Find someone who is at least 100 years old. Ask them what life was like when they were your age.

6. Find out which weighs more – 100 nickels or 100 quarters

7. Have everyone in your class try to throw a tennis ball 100 yards. Measure each throw. Calculate the average throw.

8. Count by 100s to 10,000

9. Recite multiplication facts up to 100 (10 x 10) with your eyes closed!

10. Guess how much 100 jelly beans weigh. Then weigh them and give a prize to the closest guess. Don’t eat the jellybeans!
