Falling for You Digital Scrapbook Layout

My mood if officially feeling for fall. The weather in Portland has been CHILLY, especially at night. I have been able to pull out my scarves and wear socks for once! It feels nice to cozy up at night with a pumpkin candle burning and cuddle with my electric blanket.

For Jeff’s birthday he bought himself a NEW Camera! We were desperately in need of a new one, our old one broke a few months back and we are big picture takers so its been annoying not being able to catch the moments.

When we got the new camera we played around with it in our backyard with the beautiful fall leaves on the ground!

Below is a digi scrap page I made with the pictures we took in the backyard with the camera! The layout, papers, and elements were found on Scrappin with Ikea Godess the home of the digital freebies.

58th Annual Portland Greek Festival

My family for many years growing up after Sunday church we would walk down a few blocks to the Greek Festival at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church. We were Christians and in no way Greek, but the Greek festival was filled with TONS of authentic Greek food, music, and dancing that anyone could enjoy! I think it was really neat for my parents to expose my sibilings and I to such a cultural environment. At first us kids thought it was boring and the food was weird, but after a few years were were reminding our parents that the festival was going and they better not forget to go.

To buy food at the festival you trade in your cash for “talents” and each food station is required 2 talents, or 5 talents depending how much they cost. This is just their fun way of a token system and it’s nice that the booths do not have to deal with the actual cash.

Today is my HAPPY DAY! Happy BIRTHDAY that is!

September 9th

Here is a funny memory…When I was little my family would move each year over the summer (my Dad flipped houses) so by the time I would start school in September, I didn’t know anybody to share the excitement with them that it was my birthday! Obviously because they didn’t know me they really could care less that it was my birthday but by the time we had been in school for a few months and I had made some friends it was a “big deal” on their birthday. But now I have family and friends who DO care about my Birthday it’s nice to have a day where I can SMILE with loved ones around and have some fun.

My plans for today are going to my *NEW* school, the school of Cosmetology… for my second day of classes in the program! The evening of my birthdays Jeff always likes to treat me to a restaurant of choice for a yummy dinner and romantic night together.

Amanda over at KevinandAmanda.com the home of FREE handwriting fonts just posted a new set of Fonts for Peas including cute doodle styles. Amanda was looking for someone to make font charts (seen below) for her *NEW* fonts and since I have experience in Photoshop I thought I would help her out since she is so generous to provide fonts for us!

I created the font charts to : Pea Aimee’s Doodles and… Pea Deliah’s Doodles

Amanda was kind enough to post our TwoHeartsTogether heart button at the bottom of the templates I created!

Shabby Princess just released their FREE Shabby style September Desktop Calendar! I always visit them each month to snag mine to show off on my computer. Theirs are always so fun and uplifting and they create them to go with colors of themes of the month. This month their theme for the desktop is brown,mellow yellow, and sky blue. I think it is somewhat of an intro to fall. I LOVE FALL its my favorite season! I have tons of decorations to put up and love the smell of pumpkins, cinnamon, and fresh baked pie.
