I love to digital scrapbook! Adding and working with layers, mingling different textures and colors for the perfect theme and image. I’m not as advanced as some ladies, but I am 100% self taught and am finding new tools in Photoshop CS3 everyday and my layouts are coming more together.
I found this embellishment template (seen below) that I am so excited to use from The 80’s Me. It is a template to create your own embellishments with whatever colors/papers you want! I think the hard part for some of us it creating the image or shape, then after that the creativity starts. Which is why this is so cool for her to post the embellishment images in a PSD document as a template for us to create something unique.

A Sister’s Love

I love my siblings! They are so great! I am the oldest child out of six total, some step, some half, and one full! Regardless of blood or non blood we ALL love each other and connect differently with each other in our own special way. There are three girls ( Ashley 17, Gabby 16 and Myself 20 something) and there are three boys ( Aaron 20, Jordan 8, and Joshua 6). To show my gratitude towards them I am making digital scrapbook pages of each of them to document and keep them in memory. So I started with the girls which I have posted below. I have made layouts before of Jordan and Joshua the two littlest boys, but I have no idea where those are saved at so I shall start over.

I hope you all had a HAPPY 4th of JULY weekend! Our Independence holiday was wonderful, Jeff and I had a BBQ on our back patio with some family and watched fireworks in our neighborhood at dusk! Our neighbors down the street went all out with their fireworks with tons that shot up in the sky with a big explosion of color! They must have had over 20 people on their front lawn each taking turns to light, our whole block came out to watch on their lawns which was nice to have some community and enjoy each others company!

Below is a digital scrapbook layout I made using various papers and elements that I found online!

A-Z End of the Year Poem

This is such a cute end of the year poem I thought I would share with you that I found online! I’m thinking about printing this out on pretty paper with funky font and giving them out to my kids and parents, this is a such a sweet poem that would be nice in class scrapbook. Enjoy :0)

A is for the alphabet which we know how to say.
B is for busy bodies — a work and at play.
C is for colors – red, yellow, blue, and green.
D is for drawing pictures, the best you’ve ever seen.
E is for exercise to keep our bodies strong.
F is for the fun we’ve had as we have gone along.
G is for the good friends we made throughout the year.
H is for happy faces, filled with love and cheer.
I is for imagination used at every turn.
J is for good jobs and the praises we have earned.
K is for kindness we showed each day.
L is for learning — more and more each day.
M is for minding and showing our respect.
N is for numbers. One, two, three…correct?
O is for the obstacles we learned to overcome.
P is for puppets and for playing rhythms on a drum.
Q is for all the questions we’ve asked throughout the year.
R is for reading stories, even those that bring a tear.
S is for different snacks, several we have tried.
T is for talking. It’s not to be denied.
U is for unusual; it fits some things we’ve done.
V is for our volunteers — parents and everyone!
W is for the world of words we’ve barely dipped into.
X is for extra special kids — it’s him, it’s her, it’s you.
Y is for yes, it has been a great year!
Z is for first-grade zest. We’re ready, have no fear!
